Two situations in which you should rent scissor lifts instead of mobile scaffolding
Whilst mobile scaffolding can be very useful in some circumstances which require you to work at heights, there are situations in which it's better to use rental scissor lifts for this work instead. Here are two of these situations.
Your team needs to work at heights on a large building site with multiple structures
If your construction team will need to work at heights and the building site is large with multiple structures, then you should opt for a scissor lift instead of a mobile scaffold. Whilst both of these forms of access equipment are portable and can be easily moved from one structure to another, you and your construction team will be able to transport a scissor lift far more quickly than you would be able to move a mobile scaffold. This is because the latter is on wheels and has to be manually pushed, whilst a scissor lift has a motor and can, therefore, move rapidly from one place to another, without its operator having to do anything other than pulling some levers or pushing a few buttons.
In addition to being easy to move speedily from one structure to the next because of its motor, the fact that this machinery does not have to be physically pushed in the way that a mobile scaffold does also means that it won't put your construction team at risk of strain-related injuries. This is particularly important on a big building site with lots of structures, where they might need to move this access equipment several times every day.
Your building project is time-sensitive
If your building project is time-sensitive, then you should use rental scissor lifts instead of mobile scaffolds. Rented mobile scaffolds usually have to be erected on site after the components they're made from are delivered by the equipment rental company.
Because this structure needs to be extremely stable when built, it can take quite a while for the rental company employees to erect it. As such, you might not be able to use this equipment for quite a while after its components are delivered. If your team needs to use this access equipment to get work done on the day it's delivered, losing out on this time could make it difficult to complete the related tasks within the time they have available to do them.
In contrast, any scissor lifts you rent will be delivered fully intact and ready for use. As such, you can begin using them to work at heights immediately after their arrival; this could be invaluable during a project where your time is limited.
